The Philadelphia Eagles join three other teams in getting marketing rights to Brazil, according to a league announcement today.

These rights are awarded through the league’s Global Markets Program, which allows teams the chance to grow their fan bases and international awareness through various programs. Teams that participate have activities centered around fan engagement, events, commercial opportunities and NFL Flag development.

The news comes one season after the Eagles played their season opener in Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo, Brazil, defeating the Green Bay Packers on their way to winning Super Bowl LIX.

The Eagles join the Detroit Lions in being new teams to the Brazil market, alongside the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, both of which had marketing rights previously.

“The expansion of the Global Markets Program in 2025 reflects the NFL’s continued focus to grow the game and connect with fans on a global scale,” said NFL Executive Vice President, Club Business, Major Events & International Peter O’Reilly in a statement. “With more clubs entering the program and existing clubs adding to their global rights, and as the program expands to new markets, we are seeing strong momentum and impact in growing fandom worldwide together.”

The NFL launched its Global Markets Program in 2022. Since then, 29 of the league’s 32 teams participate in the endeavor. The only teams that do not participate are the Buffalo Bills, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Tennessee Titans. Whether a team participates in the program has no bearing on whether they are scheduled for an international game, where they might play, or whether they will be the designated home team.

The Eagles, meanwhile, are not new to the program. They previously had marketing rights in Australia, Ghana, and New Zealand. Brazil is added to this list of four countries, which are routinely highlighted in Eagles’ social media posts and during preseason games using the #EaglesEverywhere campaign.

Teams are awarded rights for a five-year term through the program and during this period can pursue activities that are consistent with what they can do in their home domestic market, in their awarded international markets.
