Update 9 AM 7/31: The Eagles will wear Kelly Green jerseys at the October 22 game versus Miami (8:20 PM NBC) and the November 26 game versus Buffalo (4:25 PM CBS).
Kelly Green Eagles Jerseys officially go on sale at 9 AM!
The jerseys, which fans have been clamoring for since they were discontinued in favor of the current shade of midnight green, will be available at 9 AM at all three Eagles Pro Shops and through online stores run by Fanatics. Birds Nest Media was able to confirm this last detail through an Eagles spokesperson on Friday.
Pictures of the jerseys were released by the team on Saturday after they were leaked by fans on Twitter. The jerseys themselves take on a brighter shade of green than the midnight green jerseys. On Sunday’s media availability following practice, DE Josh Sweat expressed his disappointment he wasn’t allowed to keep the jersey he was pictured with.
“I asked them for it,” Sweat said, before teasing, “I had the best picture. Easily.”
Fans began lining up outside of Lincoln Financial Field as early as 3:30 AM according to multiple local news outlets.
The Eagles are also treating this like a home game, and are providing entertainment to fans in the Pepsi Plaza with the Eagles cheerleaders, Swoop, and the Eagles Pep Band, among others.
The Eagles announced that the jerseys will be worn at the October 22 game versus Miami (8:20 PM NBC) and the November 26 game versus Buffalo (4:25 PM CBS).
