Eagles Kicker Jake Elliott has been honored as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Elliott earned this honor after drilling a 59 yard field goal through the uprights in the pouring rain on Sunday afternoon to send the Eagles and Buffalo Bills into overtime. The Eagles went on to win 37-31 in a walk-off touchdown by Jalen Hurts.

Elliott’s field goal was the longest field goal made in Week 12. Elliott is tied for third most 50-plus yard field goals this season at 6.

Elliott’s career long is 61, which he’s nailed twice in his career, including during his rookie season against the Giants in Week 3 of the Super Bowl-winning 2017 season. It’s the longest field goal by a rookie to date.

Elliott becomes the first Eagles player since RB Darren Sproles to win a player of the week honor three times in one season. Elliott has won the honor three other times, once following his 61-yard field goal against the Giants, once in Week 11 of the 2021 season, and once in Week 18 of the 2022 season, bringing his total to 6 such honors in his career.
