Shaun Bradley Tears Achilles, Out For Season
Eagles Linebacker Shaun Bradley tore his Achilles tendon in the Eagles’ preseason opener on Saturday and was officially ruled out for the season on Sunday.
Bradley posted to Instagram on Sunday to confirm the news.
Bradley sustained the injury during a punt play in the third quarter of the game on a punt. Punter Ty Zentner booted the ball to the six yard line, when Ravens returner James Proche brought the ball back eight yards before Mekhi Garner forced a fumble that was recovered by Rick Lovato, the long snapper. Bradley sustained the injury back at midfield where the ball was punted.
Bradley, a 2020 alumnus of Temple University, has been a special teams force over the last few years, playing in well over two-thirds of the snaps since he was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was slated to be a free agent after this year.
