Six Eagles Earn All-Pro Honors
Six Eagles were selected to the All-Pro team by The Associated Press.
RB Saquon Barkley and LB Zack Baun each were voted first team All-Pro by the AP writers. Four more Eagles, WR AJ Brown, LT Jordan Mailata, RT Lane Johnson, and DT Jalen Carter each earned second team honors. The announcement was made by the AP on Friday afternoon.
Barkley was the largest vote-getter among the players, getting a nearly-unanimous 48 of 50 votes for running back. The other two votes went to Baltimore’s Derrick Henry.
The AP gave Ravens QB Lamar Jackson first team All-Pro Honors for the second straight year, while Wide Receivers Ja’Marr Chase of Cincinnati and Justin Jefferson of Minnesota were unanimous first team selections.
The Associated Press began selecting players for All-Pro teams in 1940, making it the oldest All-Pro honors selector in the country. The selection is made by a national panel, according to the AP.
