Eagles Host Lions in Primetime Matchup

Game Thumbnail-32

The Philadelphia Eagles continue their tour of the NFC North by hosting the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of a 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers, and while the defense was a show-stopping success in Green Bay, the defense covered for a lot of the offensive miscues. Still, the Birds are tied for the best record in the NFC with the Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions are atop the NFC North, holding the tiebreaker over the Chicago Bears, and are hoping to deal Philadelphia its third loss of the season. This game could have major playoff implications for both teams as they could see each other in the postseason.

Kickoff is at 8:20 PM on NBC. Mike Tirico and Cris Colinsworth are on the call for NBC Sports. This game will be nationally televised.

Inactive List and Injury Reports

Inactive lists are announced 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Philadelphia Eagles

The following players are inactive for the Eagles:

  • QB Sam Howell (Emergency 3rd QB)
  • CB Mac McWilliams
  • RB AJ Dillon
  • C/G Drew Kendall
  • DT Ty Robinson

The following players were listed on the Eagles’ injury report:

  • G/C Willie Lampkin (Knee/Ankle) – Questionable

Cam Jurgens (Knee) does not have a gameday status listed on the injury report after being a full participant in Friday’s practice, so it is likely he will start at center. Also concerning was Lane Johnson (Ankle) leaving the Green Bay game early, but he appears to be good to go and was a full participant throughout the week in practice. The Eagles had a lot of players appear on the injury report through the week, but only Lampkin was listed with a gameday status.

Detroit Lions

The following players are inactive for the Lions:

  • CB Terrion Arnold
  • DL Quinton Jefferson
  • S Kerby Joseph
  • WR Tom Kennedy
  • RB Craig Reynolds
  • DL Mekhi Wingo

The following players were listed on the Lions’ injury report:

  • CB Terrion Arnold (Concussion) – Out
  • S Kerby Joseph (Knee) – Out
  • TE Sam LaPorta (Back) – Out
  • DE Joshua Paschal (Back) – Out
  • DE Marcus Davenport (Shoulder) – Questionable
  • OT Taylor Decker (Shoulder/Rest) – Questionable
  • G Miles Frazier (Knee) – Questionable
  • CB DJ Reed (Hamstring) – Questionable
  • CB Amik Robertson (Hamstring) – Questionable
  • LB Malcolm Rodriguez (Knee) – Questionable
  • RB Jacob Saylors (Back) – Questionable
  • OT Penei Sewell (Ankle) – Questionable
  • RB Sione Vaki (Ankle) – Questionable
  • TE Brock Wright (Ankle) – Questionable

Sam LaPorta was placed on Injured Reserve ahead of this game. Flashing the injury report but active for gameday is DE Aidan Hutchinson (elbow), who was limited in practice early in the week. Hutchinson being active is a huge gain for a beat-up Lions team, especially on defense. Detroit had lots of injury problems in 2024 as well.
