Following on the success of last year’s A Philly Special Christmas, Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson are back in the recording studio.
The offensive linemen joined forces again to record A Philly Special Christmas Special, which is available for preorder today.
“We had so much fun making A Philly Special Christmas last year that we wanted to do something extra special for this holiday season,” the trio indicated on the official website. “So we got the gang back together, invited a few more friends to the party, and what happened next was magical—we were inspired to put on the greatest Christmas show in the history of Philadelphia! And so A Philly Special Christmas Special was born!”
Fans will be able to preorder the latest album, which will be pressed on red vinyl, starting on November 3 while supplies last. The cost of a vinyl is $75.00 and can be purchased from the official site, https://phillyspecialchristmas.com.
Additionally, for fans who were unable to secure vinyl records last year, a limited edition two-volume vinyl, pressed on gold vinyl, will also be available for $125. The two-volume vinyl record will feature last year’s and this year’s albums. Other bundle packages are available.
As with last year, the trio brought on some special guests. The lineup includes familiar football names, like Eagles DT Jordan Davis and Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, as well as music icons like Philadelphia natives Patti LaBelle.
The album also features an original single by Jason Kelce titled Santa’s Night. That song will be available on its own 7″ vinyl single record, which will come bundled with a 500 piece puzzle.
Fans who don’t want vinyl records can start streaming singles from the album as they are released gradually this November and December. The full album will be available to stream on all streaming platforms later this year.
Proceeds from the album will benefit two Philadelphia-area charities. The Children’s Crisis Treatment Center returns as a beneficiary after being the sole beneficiary last year. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will also benefit from album sales this year.
