Former Pittsburgh Steelers DB Terrell Edmunds signed a one-year deal with the Eagles today, as reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed, which suggests it may be a prove it deal for Edmunds.

During the 2022-23 regular season, Edmunds netted a combined 70 sacks. Edmunds had two sacks for 18 yards over the season, three tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus ranked him 38th out of 101 safeties in the league last season. Edmunds was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Eagles, meanwhile, had both starting safeties, Marcus Epps and CJ Gardner-Johnson, leave the team in free agency. The Eagles signed Justin Evans last week to play safety, and Edmunds also stands to take on a starting role with the team this season.
