Carter, McKee, and Ojomo Sign Rookie Contracts

Clockwise: Jalen Carter, Moro Ojomo, Tanner McKee (Philadelphia Eagles)

Eagles draft selections Jalen Carter, Tanner McKee, and Moro Ojomo signed their rookie NFL contracts with the Eagles.

The three were in Philadelphia for the annual rookie minicamp taking place at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia this weekend.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Carter indicated that he’s ready to work even if it may be a lot to learn.

“I’m in a new defense with new coaches and I know this is my job,” Carter said. There isn’t any time for anything other than football. I know the first year in the NFL, things can be moving really, really fast. I’m here to win and contribute and do whatever the coaches ask me to do. I need to earn their trust and that’s what I intend to do.”

Rookie contracts in the NFL are formulated based on when you are drafted by a team. All rookie contracts are four years long, but Carter, as a first round pick, has an optional fifth year the team may pick up. The team will decide whether it wants to pick up that option at the start of the 2026-27 season. Carter’s contract is reportedly worth over $21.8 million, all guaranteed.

“Philly is putting their trust in me to come in here,” Carter said last week. “And put in hard work and do what I can to help the team.”
