Kauf Lemley Olympics

Jaelin Kauf and Elizabeth Lemley are raking in the medals.

The two medaled in the women’s moguls earlier in these games, and they medaled again in the dual moguls event. Kauf raced in the big final and secured the silver medal behind Australia’s Jakara Anthony, while Lemley narrowly edged out the victory over Perrine Laffont of France for the bronze in the small final.

This was the debut of women’s dual moguls in the Olympics, and the athletes were excited to compete.

“I think from the moment we woke up this morning, all of us girls were so excited and energized by the opportunity to be able to compete in the first-ever dual moguls, finally have it showcased on the Olympic stage,” said Kauf after the event. “It was pretty spectacular.”

For Kauf, this is her third Olympic silver medal. In addition to the silver she already won in these Olympics, she also won the silver in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Lemley, meanwhile, has secured Team USA’s 100th bronze medal across all Winter Olympic competitions.

With these medals, Team USA has its second multi-medal event of these games. This has occurred for the sixth time in Olympic history in a freestyle skiing event.
