Kevin Patullo is no longer the Eagles Offensive Coordinator, according to a statement released Tuesday afternoon.

The statement indicated that it was Head Coach Nick Sirianni’s decision, which he characterized as “difficult.”

Sirianni brought Patullo onto the Eagles’ coaching staff when he was hired in 2021 as passing game coordinator, after both had spent time in Indianapolis when Sirianni had been offensive coordinator for the Colts. Patullo was a passing game specialist there.

“[Patullo] has been integral to this team’s success over the last five years,” Sirianni said in a statement, “not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization.”

The statement did not specifically indicate that Patullo has been fired or had otherwise left the Eagles organization, leaving open the possibility that Patullo could remain on the coaching staff, something that is a possibility according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Consistent with Sirianni’s approach to game management since mid-2021, the offensive coordinator handles playcalling duties for the Eagles’ offense. In that role, Patullo was maligned all season for unimaginative play calling and very basic routes that had receivers routinely well-covered. The final play of the Eagles’ 2025 Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, a 4th and 11 scenario, was a four verticals play that had fans and analysts scratching their heads.

The team will now search for its fifth offensive coordinator since 2022 amid a sea of coaching candidates. Sirianni, however, acknowledged his own responsibility for the team’s successes and its failures

“Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lands on my shoulders,” Sirianni said.
