Eagles Look To Nab Second Lombardi Trophy

Game Thumbnail

The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

The Eagles are trying to secure their second Super Bowl Championship, their first since their victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII and their second Super Bowl appearance in three years. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing for their third Super Bowl Championship in a row, following their victories in Super Bowl LVII and LVIII. This game is technically a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, held in Glendale, Arizona, where the Chiefs knocked off the Eagles 38-35 in a very close game.

Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts became the first Eagles Head Coach and Quarterback to lead the Eagles to multiple Super Bowl appearances in franchise history. This is the second time the Eagles will rematch against the same head coach. Former Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid will play the Eagles again after defeating them in Super Bowl LVII, and the Eagles played Bill Belichick twice in Super Bowl XXXIX and LII. Just Brandon Graham remains from the Andy Reid era, while just four players will be playing for their second Super Bowl ring — Brandon Graham, Lane Johnson, Rick Lovato, and Jake Elliott are all that remains from the Super Bowl LII-winning team.

Kickoff is at 6:30 PM on FOX Sports. Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady are on the call for the network. The Eagles are wearing their midnight green jerseys with white pants. The Chiefs are wearing white.
