Eagles Face Off Against Jets

The Philadelphia Eagles make the first trip of the season to MetLife Stadium, where they’ll face off against the New York Jets.

The Eagles have the chance to be just the fifth team since 1970 to rise to 6-0 in consecutive seasons. They’d join the 1985-86 Chicago Bears, the 1997-98 Denver Broncos, the 1999-2001 St. Louis Rams, and the 2005-07 Indianapolis Colts.

The Eagles will be without four players due to injury.

• DT Jalen Carter (Ankle)
  • Carter unexpectedly appeared on the injury report on Thursday. Reports are that the Eagles do not expect him to be sidelined for very long.
• S Justin Evans (Knee)
  • Evans did not participate in practice at all this week.
• CB Darius Slay (Knee)
  • Slay did not participate in practice at all this week. “If he does have to miss this week,” Sirianni told reporters on Friday, “we don’t anticipate it being a long-term thing.”
• WR Quez Watkins (Hamstring)
  • Watkins first appeared on the report on Friday and was listed as a nonparticipant.

The Eagles also listed S Sydney Brown (Hamstring) and DT Marlon Tuipulotu (Triceps) as questionable.

The Eagles activated Nakobe Dean from Injured Reserve this week and he returns to the active roster.
