Eagles to Host Division Rival Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles are 2-0 in the NFC East and 7-1 on the season through eight weeks. Their streak will be put to the test on Sunday afternoon as they host the division rival Dallas Cowboys.
This could be a game that decides the NFC East. The Eagles are hopeful that they will pull off a win and be 8-1 heading into the bye week. The Cowboys, meanwhile, lost earlier this season to the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals, and at least one of those losses is embarrassing. It’s the most passionate game of the season for Eagles fans.
Kickoff is set for 4:25 PM ET. Live game footage airs on FOX. The game is America’s Game of the Week, so it will air in the overwhelming majority of markets.

Injury Report, Inactives, and Player News
Philadelphia Eagles
The following players are inactive for the Philadelphia Eagles:
- QB Tanner McKee (Emergency 3rd QB)
- CB Bradley Roby
- RB Boston Scott
- DT Moro Ojomo
- TE Grant Calcaterra
- DE Derek Barnett
The Eagles listed the following four players as out for Sunday’s game:
- TE Grant Calcaterra (Concussion)
- G Cam Jurgens (Foot)
- CB Bradley Roby (Shoulder)
- RB Boston Scott (Not Injury Related – Personal)
Jurgens was previously on injured reserve and had the 21 day practice window opened before practices this week in the hopes he’d be ready for Sunday’s game. Those hopes were dashed this week, and with the bye week next week, Jurgens will have a chance to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10.
It is unclear why Scott will miss Sunday’s game, but we can expect RB Rashaad Penny to suit up for the game on Sunday.
The injury report was littered with players but all other players are likely to be available for Sunday’s matchup. This includes DT Jordan Davis, TE Jack Stoll, and DT Milton Williams, who were listed as a limited participants in practice all week.
The Eagles also elevated LB Ben VanSumeren from the practice squad on Friday.
Dallas Cowboys
The following players are inactive for the Dallas Cowboys:
- QB Trey Lance (Emergency 3rd QB)
- CB Noah Igbinoghene
- CB Eric Scott
- RB Deuce Vaughn
- WR Jalen Brooks
- DL Villiami Fehoko
The Cowboys did not list any players as out on their final injury report, but did list two players as questionable:
- G Chuma Edoga (Ankle/Knee)
- OT Tyron Smith (Neck)
Like the Eagles’ report, the Cowboys had a lot of players on the report through the week but all other players are expected to be available. Edoga is listed as the Cowboys’ backup left tackle, backing up Tyron Smith. The Cowboys elevated LB Rashaan Evans from the practice squad on Friday.
